UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls: 2025 Call for Proposals
The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and Girls (UN Trust Fund) has launched its 2025 Call for Proposals, under the theme “Resourcing Resilience – Investing in Civil Society Leadership to End Violence against Women and Girls.” The Fund, managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system, is one of the largest global grant-making mechanisms dedicated exclusively to initiatives that prevent and respond to violence against women and girls (VAW/G).
Objectives & Priorities
The 2025 call seeks to strengthen civil society leadership by resourcing organizations that advance innovative, evidence-based, and survivor-centered approaches. Proposals are expected to address systemic change and long-term impact, with a strong focus on:
Primary prevention of violence, including work with men, boys, and communities.
Support services for survivors, such as safe spaces, psychosocial assistance, legal aid, and crisis response.
Economic empowerment to enhance survivors’ independence.
Advocacy and policy reform to advance legal and institutional change.
Engagement of new partners and coalition-building to expand impact.
Particular emphasis is placed on initiatives led by and for structurally marginalized women and girls, including women with disabilities, LBT women, indigenous women, sex workers, and afro-descendant women.
Eligibility Criteria
Only civil society organizations (CSOs) with specialized expertise and a track record in ending violence against women and girls may apply. Key requirements include:

INGOs may apply but must show clear added value and equitable partnerships with local women’s rights organizations.
